What to do with your Mother’s Day Brunch Box flowers:

Sun Tea

Ingredients

  • ½ cup edible flowers
  • ½ gallon jar of water
  • ¼ cup honey

Method

  1. Put flowers in a ½ gallon jar
  2. fill jar with water and top it with the lid
  3. Set the jar in a sunny and warm spot outside for 12 hours
  4. Strain out the petals
  5. Add ¼ cup honey
  6. Chill and serve

Compound butter

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter (we recommend Earth Balance butter sticks)
  • 2 TBS sugar (honey, agave, or sugar of your choice)
  • Zest of one lemon
  • ¼ cup edible flowers

Method

  1. Whip to combine
  2. Roll into a log with parchment paper
  3. Chill and slice
  4. Serve with toast

Hot tea

Just put 1 tsp flowers in a mug and top with hot water. No need to strain! Tea will brew in 2-4 minutes.
