What to do with your Mother’s Day Brunch Box flowers:
Sun Tea
Ingredients
- ½ cup edible flowers
- ½ gallon jar of water
- ¼ cup honey
Method
- Put flowers in a ½ gallon jar
- fill jar with water and top it with the lid
- Set the jar in a sunny and warm spot outside for 12 hours
- Strain out the petals
- Add ¼ cup honey
- Chill and serve
Compound butter
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter (we recommend Earth Balance butter sticks)
- 2 TBS sugar (honey, agave, or sugar of your choice)
- Zest of one lemon
- ¼ cup edible flowers
Method
- Whip to combine
- Roll into a log with parchment paper
- Chill and slice
- Serve with toast
Hot tea
Just put 1 tsp flowers in a mug and top with hot water. No need to strain! Tea will brew in 2-4 minutes.
